Miles 2.2 June 3, 2013
Total 214.2
Now it was off for my
first App. hike at Raccoon Park. I
picked trail four and was on my way with backpack, walking stick, camera and
hoping for God to wow me with His wonder. Of course he did. This trail, for me
was 2.1 miles long, I say for me because I got lost and found my own route
home. It was a very nice day for the walk (about 70 degrees). I wanted to see
some geological rock layering and did find them. The reason was not that I had
not seen these in this park before. But with a new perspective I had learned in
a fun book about taking Gods word literal, especially Genesis. Believing in
Gods literal 6 days of creation and a literal worldwide flood it would be very
logical that much of this rock layering was caused from the world wide flood
and sediment being quickly laid down, then huge changes in climate causing more
local floods and earth quakes. Top it off with a huge ice age being caused by
cooling of ocean waters after these waters have been belched from the deep and
being most likely very hot, and what I am looking at in these rocks are
fingerprints of Gods Judgment of sinful man. Those who do not believe in his wrath
and judgment can walk up to these rock formations and feel it for yourself. I
am just saying this if you believe Genesis is truly Gods word ( read Answer in
Genesis).
It felt good being in
Raccoon Park and continuing my Appalachian Trail Walk. Also to my most private
time with God.
Goal for now 500
