Today it was decided to be a 0 day. In backpackers language that is a day with no miles. For me that is a day of rest. I find it very interesting that not one of the Overland hikers I have follow (and there have been quite a few) they all understand the body must rest and all, yes every one I have read take a 0 day ever 5or 6 days. Of course at the beginning of time God said to take a rest, he even ordered. But it is to be a day to reflect on God and who he is. Many of these backpackers do just that but daily. It is very hard to be surrounded by the beauty they see each day and not be in awe of who he is. So a day of rest for me will be every Sunday. What does this prove. I haven't the slightest idea. But my day of rest will include knowing God more.
My new very helpful coach has agreed, but he says that come tomorrow the fact it is a holiday has no barring on the fact that I'm back at it. If only he knew how helpful this is. So I'm off to my rest and that does include a little shut eye.
