Goal for now 500

After the 1st week I had set a goal of 20
miles a week. Now that was walking 3 miles for four day except Sunday and
making two of day 4 miles for a total of 6 days walking. But I never got there
for one reason or another. But this week I did it. I walked 5 days and did 22
miles. That seems like a lot but it is fun to see I can do it. My next goal
setting is rather large (of course I thought 100 were also large). On a App
called Run Keeper the goal was 500 miles in 6 months, I’m not sure if that is
possible but It’s up there as something to reach for. I would need 65 miles a
mouth so that is 16 miles a week. It’s do able if I stick with it, but of
course we have winter months coming. Ok the challenge is out there, let’s reach
for it. I have said I do not want to
make this about losing weight, even thought that is probably enviable, so
weighting at every 100 miles hopefully will keep me from being so attached to
my scales and putting my hope for success being determined by the scales. This
is not about just distance, weight or health issues. It is about spending time
in nature and seeing and hearing nature as it changes. God in his own words
said we will be able to know who he is through his creation so I am looking
daily at less to be learned as I watch the seasons change. I am looking forward
to watching the seasons change. Today the trees are quickly changing colors and
leaves are falling at a quicker pace. It’s beautiful to see. Seen a horse today
for I was walking the B & O Railroad trail it was very nice.
