You know the statement of you can't see the trees for the forest, well in this case it is true. Now I can really spend time looking at all the trees and how many fallen ones there are. I was a great day to walk and since it is Nov.

Oh my goodness, it is not often one is allow to enter into a wonderland of color. It was almost overpowering. You could not even keep walking because you just had to stop and drink it all in. I just feel so greatful to be allowed to be apart of such beauty. Actually anyone is allowed but most are to busy or just don't open their eyes to the wonder all around them.

Today’s walk was usual but the thought process was not. Last week in Bible Study it was stated that those of us who stand against the health and wealth preaching may want to look closer at ourselves.   Aren’t most of our prays and prayer request really health and wealth request.   This bothered me because as I thought about it as I walked I began to believe they were right. But is that wrong, you know praying for someone to be healed or someone receive the job promotion or just to get the job? Or Better yet what do I really want out of this life, just good health and being comfortable. What did Jesus pray for when it came to him and his friends? What was in the Lord’s Prayer he taught us? If God grants my prayer what will I do with it. If God answered all our request to heal someone, how would they ever get to heaven.

Soldiers getting baptized in the sea. What do you think they pray for.
Then I began thinking about the fact I, and I believe all of us should consider ourselves soldier in Gods army. If so, what should soldier pray for, good health and more money? Maybe not, as a soldier it may be more likely they might ask for strength and bravery to complete the task assigned to them. What does the Lord want us to pray for? What does God want us to want? What does a person in prison for their faith pray for? So can we find and use the disciple’s prayers as an example? Did God provide great health and wealth to his chosen disciples? What do you think Abraham, Joseph, David, Daniel, Ruth, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zachariah and other prophets pray for?

At the end of the walk I’ve decided to spend time praying and wanting what it is I will need to complete the plans God has for me today. Also as I pray for others, to pray that whatever the difficulty they are going through that they will feel Gods loving hand of molding that will bring them prepared and ready to be used for Gods great plan he has for the ages. Often when we put our full effort into letting God have his way with us, health and some form of financial gifts may come our way, but as a byproduct and gift of love for having a willing heart.  Lastly does God even care if we are wealthy and healthy, is his main concern that I am usable for his will.

We pray as if everything is about us. Why God didn’t answers my prayers as I ask. What if you really believed God was writing a much bigger picture than you and I. What if we are pawns in this story of the ages to give God Glory? To make ourselves the focus of this story of the ages is to be self-centered.

So, this was where my mind was as I walked. Many of the above questions I think I know the answer and just must rethink what my prayer life will be.  After all this heavy thinking almost    3 ½ miles past

Walking With Jesus Nov. 5 and 9th 2012

I’m learning the lesson of just keep on keeping on even when it’s a bad week for my discipline for walking. I can give some reasons but the real one is simply worrying about what some say as I head out on raining or cold days and then playing into that. The truth is I must learn to rely only on God and my determination to accomplish my goals. But at least I got out. I must not give in to letting this adventure go. So Next week is another week and my prayer is I have learned from this week. I will say it again I am beginning to see the value of a trainer.

I have been just a little down with the outcome of the election but just one day walking in prayer I quickly I should rejoice to be on a front row seat to the nearing of the end of Gods grand plan. I really believe that. God is putting leaders in place that will bring in the final battle for Israel.

- Seeks It (Seeks what? The Path of Truth. 'It' is the journey, not the destination.)

This beautiful peace rose was found in my side yard. All summer in the drought and scorching heat these roses have struggled to just live. Now here winter is right at the door and out pops this beauty, just amazing.

It’s a new week and last week was not bad. But next week is going to have some not so great weather. I do love being out here Lord. I love our talks and being out of the world for this short time.
It seem to me birds were more prominent than usual. There were whole groups of Robins and I was fascinated by the jumping around from tree to tree buy Downy woodpeckers. Fun, Fun Fun

This spot is where I enter Williams Park and what a difference a few weeks can make. These pictures were from about the middle of August, to the Middle October 14 and the last picture on the right was October 27. I’ve said it before but saying it again won’t hurt anything, I have so loved closely watching the season change. I hope to keep a record of those changes from fall, early winter, winter and spring. This all goes back to my entry a few days ago about the fact that God could have created earth anyway he wanted. The fact he choose to have a change of season surly has some Godly purpose.

As I completed my last goal and am half way through my second (100 mile segments) I at first feel great satisfaction. Goals keep us energized. But here is just form me my own observation. After enjoying the high of completing a goal, I seem to have a problem of restarting.  Here is an example, when I completed the 100 mile mark I just jumped for joy. As I neared it I began to put more and more effort into it. But after completing it my next week seem slow. I know the weather had some effect but it seem more than that. I personally believe I was too into my own accomplishment. So it seems for me goals can be powerful but also at times brings out a weakness. The weakness may be that of being too into myself and my achievements.

What could be the main solution, it finally came to me. Keep your eye on the full Goal and the purpose for setting it in the first place. I found that most of these lessons learned while walking with Jesus can also apply to my whole life walk with the Lord. In our daily life when we succeed at something we often are overly proud of ourselves and before long we are lagging on the job. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus the final goal and the purpose God set us on this life walk we will see and feel success but only because of Gods helpful hand and also we will quickly pick up after a success and keep on to the ultimate goal of our heavenly home.

Can you believe it, all this from just a little walk in the woods. Well there was time marveling at Gods creation. I saw two downy woodpeckers working together on a tree. I hope to keep watching for them. As I show with pictures as I started today, the woods is changing quickly. It was rather cool and especially windy but the sun was bright and left the woods with warm colors. I have been wonder why, when God created trees that he created some where the leaves fall quickly but others will remain on till spring. Varity should be some of the reason but of course who knows the mind of God. The second interesting fact that all though most vegetation and leaves die there will be some for the entire winter green. Amazing don’t you think.

This week for the first time I accomplished what I thought was an acceptable guide for a total weeks walk. I said 20 miles but have never really completed 20 miles in a week. But this week was a complete success 26 miles was my total number. Ok this felt like a real success but Monday must be a new week and new determination to complete walking 500 miles with Jesus buy April 1.
