Goal for now 100
On
this day, (there can be no finer) it has that cool crisp feel to the air (61
degrees as high today) and great for walking. The park had a Doggie Day and it
was fun watching the dogs run and play with each other. My walk in the woods
was interesting. A strong storm had passed through last night and it brought
about 2 inches of rain, and hail, lots of hail and also strong wind. We lost
electricity for about an hour. So I was wondering if there was any damage to
the park. Sure enough there were several down trees on trails. White Lick Creek
was much higher than I have seen in a while but not threating.
Now
to this idea of walking out of Georgia, I have been following 4 couples who
are with in a few Days of ending this 5 or 6 month hike. They will be summiting
Katahdin Maine very soon. How do you even grasp the fact you have walked 2176 miles.
For right now you just take in in as best you can and move one.

I
still find the bathroom or lack of it to be a major issue and unless it is
raining I would not take on a shelter
for they have mice fecies and who knows what else. Oh well maybe I would just
get use to it and think it no big deal.

Today was a short one I didn’t have much time but 3
miles is better that no miles. I took some pictures of the trees down in the
park from the storm Friday. I was so
excited this morning for I have been working for weeks on understanding a
concept in the bible and this morning in the bus while studying it just came to me.
I got it and for me this is great and so while walking I keep making sure as I
ran scriptures through my mind that I had got it right. So it was another
beautiful morning for a walk. I got a lot done at home as well. Great Day.
